The music works as background music for rpg's like Kult, Vampire, Werewolf, Cyberpunk, All Flesh Must Be Eaten and similar. It fits best into all Cthulhu (CoC) based settings (gaslight, 1920th, Now!, Delta Green, Wild West, 1000 A.D....
The very first tracks of Musica Cthulhiana were free downloads at www.nyarlathotep.de in 2001.
Later a CD with additional tracks was sold to the readers of nyalathotep.de and the german magazine Cthuloide Welten only.
There weren't sold large quantities and today the CD is a rarity.
The second CD "The Fourth" was officially published by Pegasus Verlag - the german publisher for the Cthulhu roleplaying rame in 2003. Besides 10 new songs it contained a few edited versions of tracks from the first CD.
The tracks on the CD are divided into four cycles. Since the capacity is limited, the two missing tracks that complete the Fourth Cycle, were released as free downloads in 2004.
We hoped to release the third CD in 2006. job issues made it impossible.
Now it will be released in 2009.
