Inspired by Call of Cthulhu and the stories of H.P. Lovecraft. We like Lustmord, Carbon-Based Lifeforms, Bohren & der Club of Gore, Aphex Twin, NIN.
Roleplaying
Continuous background music for rpg's like Kult, Vampire, Werewolf, Cyberpunk, All Flesh Must Be Eaten and similar. It fits all Cthulhu (CoC) based settings (gaslight, 1920th, Now!, Delta Green, Wild West, 1000 A.D...).

Starting in 2001 with some songs for a internet fanzine, it quickly became a whole album...
The Fourth
The second CD was officially published by the german publisher for the Cthulhu roleplaying game in 2003 and re-released in 2011...
Fragment
Finishing the 2.5 hours music on the 2-CD 2010 album "Fragment" took seven years...
The very first tracks of Musica Cthulhiana were free mp3 downloads at www.nyarlathotep.de in 2001. The audio-tracks, songs and music were of course inspired by the Call of Cthulhu RPG and the stories and characters by H. P. Lovecraft (from Azathtoth to the Necronomicon). Later a CD with additional tracks was sold to the readers of nyalathotep.de and the german magazine Cthuloide Welten only.
There weren't sold large quantities and today the CD is a rarity.
You can hear some songs on the following album "The Fourth".
13 songs, nearly 80 minutes. Besides 10 new songs it contained a few edited versions of tracks from the first CD.
The tracks on the CD are divided into four cycles. Since the capacity is limited, the two missing tracks that complete the Fourth Cycle, were released as free downloads in 2004.
The re-release got a beautiful new cover art.

In a discreet way the music creates a very dark and threatening background with its organic sounds. Minimalistic melodies, lost in eternity, melt into soundscapes - somewhere between Aphex Twin, Lustmord and “doom-ridden-jazz”.
After working for seven years on the album, “Fragment” was released in december 2010. The limited 2-CD-Set has 2.5+ hours of music.
